Gold & Silver Analysis...
The metals have been correcting. On Thursday both Gold & Silver had a good day but it was followed by an outside reversal on Friday. For Gold we are looking at initial support at $1750 and further support at $1685.
Silver has support just below $34.00 and also at $32.00.
Podcasts...
Yesterday we spoke with Greg Weldon who gave us his near-term analysis on Gold and Silver. Great stuff as usual from Greg.
Earlier in the week we spoke with Sean Brodrick, the natural resource analyst at UncommonWisdomDaily. He discussed the global economy, what it means for Gold and his thoughts on Silver, Gold and the miners. He mentions one company he is watching closely.
Premium Snippet...
Thursday night we put out a 27 page update on the gold stocks. This includes a 3-page report on a potential near-term producer (in the US) we visited a few weeks ago. We also covered our model portfolio positions and speculations (3 pages of analysis). And we mentioned our top (#1) speculation idea for the next few years.
TheDailyGold Premium Model Portfolio closed at a new all-time high as we detail here. It is up 31.9% YTD compared to a 0.5% YTD gain for GDXJ, our benchmark. GDX is higher by 4.3% YTD. Since January 2011, just weeks after the cyclical bear market in gold shares began, the portfolio is up by 23.3% while GDXJ is down 34.7% and GDX is down 12.5%.
Since all newsletter writers who focus on precious metals stopped publishing and advertising their performance (with the exception of John Doody), it is reasonably safe to assume that TheDailyGold Premium has been the top performing gold-related newsletter this year and perhaps since 2011.
How do we do it?
First, we have a strict set of seven or eight rules that guides our participation in this sector. We shared these at the Toronto Cambridge House conference and have shared them with subscribers.
Secondly, we focus on market timing and stock selection. Our technical background is well known and unmatched by most of our competitors. This gives us an advantage. Furthermore, we combine technical and fundamental analysis in hopes of finding the big winners and consistent performers. We write detailed reports on companies and assess potential values based on a number of metrics (i.e. various metals prices and various valuation levels).
We work for our subscribers. We understand that we won’t grow unless we make our subscribers money. That is our number one goal and is why we are extremely diligent. Of course, past performance is no guarantee of future performance. No one is perfect and we've made our share of mistakes and readily admit so in our updates. We will continue to strive for excellence for current and for new subscribers.
